All the major manufacturer's modules we carry feature similar, very high quality, manufacturing techniques:

  • Tempered Low Iron Glass
  • Anodized Aluminum Frames
  • EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) - Tedlar encapsulation with Butyl Edge Seal
  • Terminal Boxes on Module Back or MC connectors on the large modules
  • Built-in bypass diodes

Access Solar Modules

Access solar modules are manufactured in India. We now directly import these modules to achieve a lower price. Access solar modules feature the same high quality construction as all brand name solar modules:

Trina Solar Modules

Trina solar modules are being imported from China. They have been in the solar module business since 1997. Trina is “vertically integrated”, meaning they make all parts for their solar modules themselves. When they become available in November, we can use the 175W 24V solar module in our Solar Kits #5, #6 & #7. Mitsubishi Solar Modules

707-125 Mitsubishi 125 Watt Solar Module $469

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has entered the solar module market featuring a 110 watt 12V solar module that utilizes lead-free solder making this module “environmentally friendly”. This manufacturing technique also makes for higher conversion efficiency by taking advantage of the product’s ability to more uniformly reflect the sun’s rays. We use the 125 in our Solar Kits #1 - #5

  • Featuring polycrystalline solar cells, the PV-EE125MF5F meets the requirements of international quality standards including UL 1703 and IEC 61215.
  • The cells are protected by sheets of ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and laminated between a weatherproof backing film and a highly transmissive, highly impact-resistant, tempered glass, complete with anti-reflective coating.
  • Clear anodized aluminum alloy frames
  • Junction box includes built-in-bypass diodes
