Inverter Bypass Box |

An inverter bypass box is used to let the generator bypass the inverter and directly feed the AC distribution panel. The box consists of a dual 60A breaker, a single 60A breaker and a special interlock which forces one breaker to be in the “off” position when its mate is “on” and vice-versa. In the on position the generator current flows through the inverter, charging the battery bank and powering the AC loads. In the by-pass position the generator current flows directly to the AC distribution panel and the inverter is completely out of the circuit.This is useful for testing purposes, or for when the inverter must be removed from the system. The box is prewired and can handle up to 60 amps. |

The TR Series inverter is the most popular we sell. With its range of power sizes, large internal battery charger, automatic switching capability and low price, they are hard to beat.
For 12 volt systems the 1512 and 2412 are available. Suppling 1500 or 2400 watts of power with integral internal battery chargers, they are fully capable of powering an alternative energy household, cottage or camp. They each have the ability of automatically switching AC from your generator (or the power grid) to your AC distribution panel while charging your battery bank. The TR2412 will be needed if a deep well pump must be powered. It will run a correctly chosen 1/2 hp submersible pump and a 1/3 hp washing machine at the same time.
For 24 volt systems the 1524, 2424 and 3624 are available. As the name implies, they will supply 1500 to 3600 watts to your loads or charge your battery bank when a generator or grid power is available. They have the same AC switching capability as the 12 volt models. The 1524 can be used in homes, cottages or camps with the right AC submersible pump. The TR2424 will power a correctly chosen 1/2 hp pump and washing machine at the same time while the TR 3624 will power any 1/2 hp pump with a washing machine.
The TR series are made to wall mount (though they can sit on a table). All controls and indicators are conveniently mounted on the front panel. The battery charger controls have been simplified for ease of use. These inverters also have UPS (uninterruptible power supply) capability with their 10 to 16 millisecond transfer switching speed.

The Power Pro 150 and 300 are small modified sine-wave inverters. They are a good inexpensive way to run a small appliance or a few compact fluorescents. They are rated at 150 or 300 watts continuous duty and 400 or a 1000 watts surge. They are both 90% efficient and have high temperature shut down and overload protection. The Power Pro 150 comes with a cigarette lighter plug. The Power Pro 300 is supplied with battery clamps for hook up to your battery bank. You can also use the included lighter plug and cable for up to 150 watts output. An ideal unit to run that one 120 volt item you can't do without.

OutBack Power Systems - Inverters and System Components
OutBack Power Systems is an engineer-owned, customer focused manufacturer of renewable energy systems equipment. They have designed all their equipment around an integrated systems approach. One could use an Outback inverter as a stand-alone unit, but its really designed to fit together with all the other pieces of the system.
There are two types of OutBack inverters: the original sealed FX Series and the vented VFX Series. In the sealed FX version all components are cooled by heat transfer. The vented VFX versions are cooled by internal fans. The vented versions allow for higher power inverters to be enclosed in the same size box as the sealed versions.
OutBack inverters can be used alone or with any of the multitude accessories that complete a fully integrated system. Shown on the next page is a pre-wired Flex500 Power System. Call for an explanation of all the various parts which form a complete system and which parts you may want to utilize.
OutBack Power Systems has much more to offer than what’s described here. Four inverter systems are available, as well as three phase systems. An integral step up transformer can be installed in the FW-500 AC enclosure. OutBack has thought of just about everything to make system installation as painless as possible.
